90% and getting Stonger
We are almost back to normal at home. Both boys went to my mom's yesterday while I was at work. Callen was still a bit tired and mostly watched TV, but did play a little. When we got home he played with his doctor kit! Good practice I guess.... Claysen is coughing a little still, but they doc says that may hang around a little while, but he is not wheezing so he is doing great! Now we are just working on getting the schedule back to normal now. Thanks to both our mother's for dinner and helping us out.

getting better
Callen is still very tired acting and not active, but taking in fluids. He has a little more fight in him today so I think that is a good sign. No vomitting or fever for 2 days now.
Claysen is coughing today, but I don't hear much or any wheezing so he is on the mend too. I just hope he doesn't get anything else on top of his illnesses.
You would thinking that giving medicine to a 5 month old might be easy. Claysen has already learned that when he sees the syringe coming at him to close his mouth and press his lips shut! I think he is going to be a smart and sneaking one!

We skipped/postponed Valentine's Day this year
The last week and a half has been a very interesting one to say the least! This was my first experience with having two children sick at the same time! On Wednesday, February 6th, I took Callen to the doctor because he was coughing. They diagnosed him with Croup. It is a virus, so we just stuck a humifier in his room and ride it out. Sunday Claysen starting coughing(all those brotherly kisses, I've been trying to stop still got through!). It must be croup too, I thought. Wednesday, February 13, Callen starting complaining his ear hurt and holding it. In a matter of a few hours we was in serious pain and wouldn't calm down, good thing we were on the way to Quick Care and sitting waiting for the doctor. Since we were there, I decided to kill two birds with one stone and have Claysen checked out too. Callen was diagnosed with an ear infection, probably brought on by the croup. Claysen was diagnosed with RSV, a very serious respiratory virus for infants. He was given a nebulizer treatment, even though his oxygen saturation was 97%. We went to his regular pediatrician on Thursday, just to check in with him. His oxygen was at 96%, but they did not treat him or send a nebulizer home. He did develop an ear infection over night, so we were given amoxicillin for that. Thurday afternoon Callen started throwing up! Friday he threw up once and had a fever all day. This morning as I write this Claysen is improving, Callen's fever broke but he is still lethargic. All are taking fluids so we are stable! I am now getting a cold or somthing! Rusty has had something for a few weeks, but won't really admit it. He just power's through and works like crazy hoping he can scare it away. He has been good help when his is home which has allowed me to keep my sanity. That is why familes are designed to have two parents.
I hope this finds you happy and healthy!

Little Feet
I am late getting these images up, reasons why will follow on the next post. I want to make a large canvas print for Claysen's room of his feet, hand and all three Nye boys' feet. The pictures turned out ok, but they aren't working for the large print. I will have to reshot them (Rusty will be excited!). I thought I would share anyway. They are cute little toes.
All three boys, Claysen's on top, Callen and Rusty's at the side
Claysen's and Rusty's
Callen and Claysen's

Just some recent smiling faces to add.
Claysen has found his voice recently. He talks very loudly! When he was just a few days old we decided he was loud then grunting and growling so loudly we thought we had a bear living in the room next to us. I used to worry about Callen waking up Claysen, now it goes both ways!
Lately Callen enjoys taking showers with Rusty or I. He likes to plug the drain with the wash cloth and make a bath out of it. Go figure!
